Being strengths-based: understanding the approach and key principles
You can still register for this event below
Strengths-based or asset-based approaches focus on the strengths, potential and goals of the individual. This is a big shift that involves making changes to the way we approach relationships, how we get to know people, the language we use and so much more.
What we will cover:
We will cover the themes and principles that make up a strengths-based approach to give you a thorough understanding of this way of working. We will hear from speakers who can give real-life examples of how this works in practice both for the people directly involved and the organisation as a whole. After the Webinar we will hold a 45 minute Zoom discussion to give the opportunity to talk to other attendees and explore the topic in more detail.
Speakers:
Vicky Album, Strengths-based Practice Lead, Homeless Link
David Ford, Founder, Expert Link
Jhoana Serna, Strengths-based Practitioner
Victoria Busby, Service Manager, Kirklees Better Outcomes Partnership
Audience:
People working, using, managing or commissioning homelessness and related services who would like to learn more about strengths-based approaches.
