Please note LATCH offers supported housing in local households. We do not offer an emergency service. An interview appointment is followed by a risk assessment and all being well, the application process will take a minimum of two weeks as this is dependent on the availability of Hosts and rooms in households.
All referrals via St Clare's Day Centre. Referral form downloadable from website. Phone Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, Sat-Sun 9am-11am or call in Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9am - 12pm Tuesday & Friday – 9am - 10:30am to St Clare's Day Centre for assessment.
Require proof of identity if possible. Applicant must attend an informal meeting at Crossroads. At the meeting the young person will be given a tour of the centre to see what support we can offer them, if both parties are happy a risk assessment will be completed. Staff will then seek relevant background information from partner agencies to ensure meaningful support can be offered.
Phone daily 9am-8.30pm - may accept referrals later in emergency. Applicant/agency completes referral form prior to interview. Require proof of ID and background information about history of homelessness, offences, etc. If referring offenders or people with substance misuse issues a referring agency risk assessment may be required.
Phone the Gateway Mon-Thurs 8.45am-5.15pm, Mon-Fri 8.45-4.15pm who will assess whether referral into supported housing is appropriate and if so identify whether there is an appropriate vacancy in this or in other projects in Birmingham.
