After referral is received, interview with 2 staff members. combined needs and risk assessment. Offer of room will be given within 12 -24 hours. If no room available then the applicant will be put on waiting list.
Phone daily 9am-8.30pm - may accept referrals later in emergency. Applicant/agency completes referral form prior to interview. Require proof of ID and background information about history of homelessness, offences, etc. If referring offenders or people with substance misuse issues a referring agency risk assessment may be required.
Phone daily 24 hours. Referrers will be directed to Salvation Army as first contact - 01904 416562. Salvation Army Early Intervention Team operate Mon-Fri. Pre-access interview (sometimes multi-agency) will be organised when a referral has been processed.
Eastern Hub referral form to be completed and sent to the SHOT. The prospective residents housing and support needs are assessed during a pre interview. If they meet the criteria they are placed on the waiting list.
