Prospective residents are invited for an interview. They require proof of identity, income and immigration status – to ensure they can access public funds. If someone is offered accommodation at Caritas Anchor House, a personal contribution of £36.76 (if on benefits) for two weeks in advance is also required. If in employment, the personal contribution figure will be confirmed on arrival at Caritas Anchor House.
Once a referral is made, a conversation will take place between the referral agency and project coordinator. Providing that person is suitable for the shelter and there is a free bed, they will be given a place that evening.
