If homeless, individuals must present at the Housing Options office at West House, West Street, Newbury. West Berkshire Council will assess whether an individual is eligible for an emergency bed space, and whether they have a duty to provide a hostel placement. Any agencies wishing to refer their client to the hostel must also go through West Berkshire Council.
Phone any time or call in at St Silas Church Building Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. Beds allocated on first come, first served basis. Need proof of ID and age eg benefit book, previous rent book. Application form completed at interview.
Referrals and risk assessments ( available on our website) need to be emailed by Referral Agency to our office by 1300 hours or please phone to enquire about vacancies. Require proof of ID and relevant background information.
