All referrals need to come through the MAS gateway. To be assessed for the MAS system client needs to speak with Manchester city council rough sleepers team, charities such as booth centre, barnabus, shelter, centre point and other temporary accommodations e.g. night shelters.

Once staff at Stopover receive notification of a referral, they contact the applicant to make arrangements to visit the project to be assessed for a place at the project. If staff feel we can support the young person's needs, they are accepted onto the waiting list. If there is a vacancy, the applicant should move in the same day.
