Phone the Gateway Mon-Thurs 8.45am-5.15pm, Mon-Fri 8.45-4.15pm who will assess whether referral into supported housing is appropriate and if so identify whether there is an appropriate vacancy in this or in other projects in Birmingham.
Phone Mon-Fri 9am-5pm or write. Application form, completed by prospective resident and referral agency. Interview. Risk assessment. Require proof of ID, eg passport, prison licence, birth certificate. Also require PSR and Probation reports (Oasys report).
Target response timescales from BASS, based on a completed referral being received by 4pm, are: Court bail – 1 hour Prison bail – 1 day HDC / general licence – 3 days Emergency recall prevention – 1 hour
Referral forms available , once received, further information is requested from probation or other agencies as necessary, this is then followed by an assessment with the applicant this is then heard at a monthly housing panel meeting where a decision is made to accept or decline the applicant
