If homeless, individuals must present at the Housing Options office at West House, West Street, Newbury. West Berkshire Council will assess whether an individual is eligible for an emergency bed space, and whether they have a duty to provide a hostel placement. Any agencies wishing to refer their client to the hostel must also go through West Berkshire Council.
Referrals to be arranged via Oxfordshire Placement Services.
Young Person will be invited to an interview where the referring agency must attend
Up to date YPHA and MARAMP must be sent with any referral.
Referrals and risk assessments ( available on our website) need to be emailed by Referral Agency to our office by 1300 hours or please phone to enquire about vacancies. Require proof of ID and relevant background information.
Phone daily 24 hours. Application form. Interview. Require references, ID and information from other agencies where appropriate. Vacancies allocated at monthly meetings of joint young persons housing panel.

Once in receipt of application, YMCA-TG will contact the applicant directly to invite for interview. Key info includes - birth certificate, NI number, DBS permission and proof of income and/or benefits.
