Referrals are all assessed at Northern Devon Hub, then passed to the appropriate accommodation provider. The referral will be put on a waiting list.A time is arranged for the prospective service user to visit the accommodation and have an interview with two staff members where they will be assessed for suitability.
Phone daily 9am-8.30pm - may accept referrals later in emergency. Applicant/agency completes referral form prior to interview. Require proof of ID and background information about history of homelessness, offences, etc. If referring offenders or people with substance misuse issues a referring agency risk assessment may be required.

Application form completed by referrer and/or prospective resident with help from staff if required. If appropriate, this is followed by needs and risk assessment at face to face interview.
Phone Mon-Fri 9am-4.30pm for application form, completed by applicant and referral agency prior to interview. Need as much background information as possible, including probation reports for ex-offenders.
Phone or email to request an application form. Once completed this should be sent back where a decision will be made on the suitability of the applicant. Evidence of serial exclusion, description of support needs and details of ongoing support required.
