Referrals via HSAP ( see www.wigan.gov.uk). Require proof of ID, eg birth certificate, driving licence, benefits letter etc. Need risk assessment from referring agency. 6 emergency access beds, 4 of which are 4 weeks stay maximum.
Background checks. Clients usually notified within 24 hours – depending on priority and availability.
Referrals contacted within 48 hours, assessments booked and decision made within 7 days of assessment.

Phone and leave a message to arrange an interview. Part time staff will pick up the message as soon as they are in.
Phone daily 9am-12 midnight to make a referral. Interview and application form.
Initial Referral Assessment taken in person, via email or telephone. Referral Interview will follow and risk assessment / impact assessment will be conducted before offer of accommodation.
Referrals are made to the centre from Housing Needs. Upon completion of the referral, the applicant is to attend the centre where an interview will take place.
