Please note LATCH offers supported housing in local households. We do not offer an emergency service. An interview appointment is followed by a risk assessment and all being well, the application process will take a minimum of two weeks as this is dependent on the availability of Hosts and rooms in households.
Phone Mon-Sat 11.30am to 9pm. Referrals for applicants with a local connection accepted 11.30am-2.30pm, then referrals from adjoining areas. All applicants are risk assessed. Accommodation is normally for a maximum of 3 nights, or until suitable accommodation is available.

South of the Tyne referrals: St Mary's Centre, Whitehead Street, South Shields NL33 5LZ and second telephone number. Phone or call in Mon-Fri 9am-4pm. Require background information, particularly around criminal record, substance use and medical history.
Phone Mon-Fri 10am-4pm for information, including details for self-referrals on how to be referred. Initial assessment made by project worker, then referral form completed with young person. Require background information from social workers or Probation Officers where appropriate.
Phone daily 12 noon-8pm for information, including details for self-referrals on how to get referred. Risk assessment. Referring agency must be with the young person and preferably be able to provide some form of transport to the host's home, if this is not possible High Peak will try to provide this.
Phone Mon-Thurs 9am-5.30pm (referrals by 3.30pm), Fri 9am-5pm (referrals by 3pm). Require referral form plus as much background information, including criminal activity checks, as possible. Before any checks are made a consent form must be signed by the young person giving permission to share information.
Agency referrals only. Phone Mon-Fri 9am-4pm. Scheme locates a vacancy and informs the client via the referral agency. Require National Insurance number. Triage form and risk assessment carried out prior to placement.
Phone 10am-4pm Mon?Fri. The young person must be available at the time of the referral. An initial phone call is required to ensure availability and discuss suitability then a referral form including a risk assessment will need to be completed.
