This Much We Know podcast

Welcome to This Much We Know, a podcast all about social enterprise and how it can be used to support and offer training and employment to those in need. We bring to you a range of brilliant social entrepreneurs telling you their story.

The purpose is to provide a relatable platform for charity professionals and social entrepreneurs to understand what exists within the social enterprise space, to understand the motivations, challenges, and potential models to use.

Homeless Link has invested time and research into supporting social enterprise models across the homelessness sector and we are looking at ways to share our findings and expand this network.

We have been meeting (virtually) with social entrepreneurs to better understand their stories and background that has led them to developing socially minded businesses which support those vulnerable in our communities.

We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making them.

Murphy Hopkins-Hubbard

Enterprise Development and Investment Manager

Murphy Hopkins-Hubbard is the Enterprise Development and Investment Manager at Homeless Link.

As the Enterprise Development and Investment Manager for Homeless Link I act as the main contact for our enterprise and investment programmes.

I lead on a new initiative which provides a broad range of support for charities and social enterprises in England, helping them make a transition to new enterprises or grow existing ones. The Enterprise Development Programme, launched on 5th September 2018, is a five year, £40m programme funded by Access – The Foundation for Social Investment and managed by a coalition of partners, of which Homeless Link is one. The programme will support organisations that are thinking of exploring new enterprise models and require financial or business support to make the transition, with the aim of taking on social investment in the future. Whilst our investment fund has now closed, if you would like to discuss funding options or seek advice, please do get in touch on murphy.hopkins-hubbard@homelesslink.org.uk or 07950954470
