Oasis Domestic Abuse Service

Oasis Domestic Abuse Service is one of twenty nine charities from across England, working with women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, that has been awarded a grant from Homeless Link’s Ending Women’s Homelessness grants programme, funded by the Government’s Tampon Tax Fund.

This partnership will develop psychologically informed environments (PIE) and services for women who are homeless and have experienced complex trauma. Oasis identified an increase in women being turned away from refuge with complexity of need. A learning partnership and pilot, this aims to boost the practice and outcomes for clients engaged in both services.

Deborah Cartwright, CEO of Oasis, said, We are delighted to have been awarded this grant to work in partnership with Catching Lives. We believe that PIE and trauma-informed care developments will enable homeless women to receive a service that is better suited to their needs so that we can provide safety and opportunities to regain control whilst supporting them to identify strengths and develop positive coping mechanisms.”
