Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Single women who have experienced domestic violence. Priority given to women referred by IDAS and to women with a local connection.

Who we cannot help

No automatic exclusions.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Most referrals come from IDAS (Independent Domestic Abuse Service). Other referrals come from agencies such as The Retreat and the prison service.

Referral procedure

Phone Mon-Fri 9am-5pm or write. Application form completed by applicant and agency prior to interview. Applicant notified of outcome. Require proof of ID.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 6 months
  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support and accommodation

Support offered

1 part time staff based off-site, visits residents up to weekly according to need. Keywork system. Support plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed every 6 months. Staff provide a resettlement programme and practical and emotional support around a range of issues, including budgeting, benefits, developing social skills, accessing specialist services and finding training and/or employment.

Residents responsible for own bills.
