Who is the project for?
Who do we help?
Single homeless people, including those with mild learning difficulties, some physical disabilities, those recovering from drug/alcohol dependency (with support from other agency), and ex-offenders. Must have a Hertfordshire connection.
Who we cannot help
No automatic exclusions. Applications considered on a case by case basis but it is unlikely we will accept people with convictions for arson, sex offences or recent violent offences.

How to get a referral
Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Many come from Watford Homeless Persons Unit. Can accept referrals direct from prison.
Call in, phone 8am-9pm or write. Form completed by prospective resident. Interview. Require proof of benefits status if unemployed. Also support letters from social workers, probation, GPs etc if appropriate.

Support and accommodation
15 full time staff, 24 hour waking cover. Staff offer help with personal problems, benefits and budgeting. Life skills, IT, literacy and numeracy training available. Regular residents' meetings. Social events including coffee mornings, walks, picnics and fundraising events.

£25.57pw minimum required from residents in receipt of benefits.

House rules and tenure
No alcohol allowed in public areas. Smoking allowed in some bedrooms. Licence agreement.
Until 11pm (Mon-Fri from afternoon only). Overnight guests with staff permission.
Watford tube and Watford Junction train station - 5 minutes walk.
