Single homeless people 18-64, with or without local connection.

Who we cannot help

Sex offenders and arson offences. All individually assessed.

Referral agencies

Accept referrals from any agency and also self-referrals Applicants to complete YMCA Bedfordshire Housing Application form.

Direct or self-referrals and referrals through Capita.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 1 year
  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support and accommodation

Support offered

1 x full-time and 2 x part-time Housing Coaches. Key work system, weekly/fortnightly meetings (dependant on need). Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed quarterly. Staff provide advice and support around basic living and social skills, access to employment and training, and attending appointments. Signposting to specialist services.

Rooms and charges

£10.36 per week if resident is claiming means tested benefits. If resident is work they will be required to contribute a large amount depending on their wages.

  • Disabled facilities: One ground floor room accessible to wheelchair users.
  • Other facilities: One ground floor room is accessible to wheelchair users. It has lower kitchen cupboards and worktops and wet room.

House rules and tenure

Must attend residents' meetings and engage with support, pay the weekly personal contribution, No alcohol allowed on premises. Smoking is not permitted. License agreement.


10am-7pm, maximum of two guests per resident at any one time. No overnight guests.
