Who is the project for?
Who do we help?
Young single homeless vulnerable people or those at risk of homelessness aged 16-25. Accept with people with substance use, mental health issues and young people who have complex needs. No local connection required for the day centre.
Who we cannot help
People presenting abusive behaviour.

How to get a referral
Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Young people can call in at The Base drop-in centre (48 Buchanan Street) from 1pm during the day, or go directly to the shelter at night from 7pm onwards.
Phone 01253 294477 Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, or 01253 291038 at other times. Queue at nightshelter door (located beside St John's Church opposite Winter Gardens, Church Street) at 7pm. A brief interview is carried out on admission.

Support and accommodation
2 staff provide sleep-in cover and basic support each night. Residents are encouraged to call in at the Streetlife drop-in for further support. All young people staying at the shelter have access to a support co-ordinator who can assess their needs and help them to access more permanent accommodation.

House rules and tenure
No alcohol or smoking allowed on the premises. 'Smoke breaks' outside at 10pm, 10.50pm and 8am. Written rules signed by resident.
North Blackpool train station. Town centre location.
