Who do we help?
Single homeless people aged over 25. Priority given to those with a local connection to Newcastle.

How to get a referral
Accept named agency referrals only. Priority given to referrals via the Newcastle Gateway.
Contact the Gateway on 019 1277 1711 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Call project 24 hours. Require proof of identity. Application form and interview.

Support and accommodation
4 full time and 5 part time staff, 24 hour cover. Residents meet regularly with a support worker who helps to develop and monitor individual support plans. Staff provide help with budgeting, money advice, benefits, hygiene, advocacy, social and living skills, finding employment and working to find own accommodation.

Rules and policies
Metro 5 minutes walk away, all local buses stop outside the door.
We also support our residents and others locally by providing free meals in our next door support centre. Volunteering opportunities involve café work, befriending, admin, caretaker duties, gardening - 40 Volunteers - To apply Bookings@SVP-tyne.org.uk. Local website www.svp-blackfriars.org.uk
We accept donations of food, sleeping bags, good quality single bedding and warm outer clothing.
