Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Young single people aged 16-25 with support needs who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. No local connection required.

Who we cannot help

Schedule 1 sex offenders. Arsonists may be accepted if cleared by insurance company.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency via St Basils Link or Youthline.

Referral procedure

Phone St Basils Link Mon-Fri 9am-5pm or Youthline (0300 303 0099, daily 24 hours) which is a partnership between St Basils and 4 other organisations. Interview, and needs and risk assessment at The Link. Placed on pre-registered list if suitable. When vacancy arises The Link carry out up to date background checks.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 3 months
  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support and accommodation

Support offered

4 full time staff based on-site Mon-Fri 9.30am-5.30pm and some evenings and weekends, emergency on-call system. Keywork system (10 residents per worker), monthly meetings. Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed quarterly. Support includes help with life skills, sexual health and substance misuse issues. Surgeries around family mediation, employment, education and training.

Written house rules. Alcohol and smoking allowed in own rooms only. Assured shorthold tenancy or licence agreement.

Between 5pm-10pm. Can stay overnight with staff agreement.
