Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Young people aged 16-25 with support needs who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Can accept a limited number of couples. No local connection required.

Who we cannot help

Schedule 1 sex offenders. Arsonists may be accepted if cleared by insurance company.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency via St Basils Link or Youthline.

Referral procedure

Phone St Basils Link Mon-Fri 9am-5pm Mon-Fri, or Youthline 0300 303 0099, 24 hours daily which is a partnership between St Basils and 4 other organisations. Interview, and needs and risk assessment at The Link. Placed on pre-registered list if suitable. When vacancy arises The Link carry out up to date background checks.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 4 weeks
  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support and accommodation

Support offered

3 full time staff, 24 hour cover. Keywork system (4 residents per worker), weekly keywork meetings initially, then frequency by mutual agreement. Keywork covers benefits advice, care plans, education, training and employment opportunities, confidence building, living skills, family mediation and resettlement support.

Rooms and charges

£8.88pw required from residents receiving benefits.

House rules and tenure

No alcohol or smoking allowed on the premises. Licence agreement and communal living code.

Visitors

Mon-Fri 5pm-10.30pm, Sat & Sun 11am-10.30pm. Overnight guests by agreement. All visitors need ID.
