Who do we help?

Single homeless people with support needs, including ex-offenders and people with mental health or substance misuse issues. No local connection required.

Who we cannot help

No automatic exclusions.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Many referrals come from South Norfolk Council, Social Services, Community Mental Health Team, Leaving Care Team, Probation Service and Prison Service.

Referral procedure

Phone, call in Mon-Fri 9am-5pm or write. Application form completed by applicant prior to interview. Require proof of ID, eg passport, birth certificate, driving licenc., Needs assessment and background information discussed at interview.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 6 months
  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support and accommodation

Support offered

3 full time staff on-site at hostel 8am-5pm 5 days a week, Sat 9.30am?1pm. 24 hour emergency on call system. Keywork system (5-7 residents per keyworker), meetings weekly-fortnightly. Action plans with agreed outcomes reviewed every six months. Staff offer support around economic wellbeing, leisure activities, health, offending behaviour, substance misuse, accessing employment, education and training.

Rooms and charges

£7.81 per week required from hostel residents in receipt of benefits. Residents in flats pay own bills.

House rules and tenure

Residents must engage with support. Alcohol and smoking allowed in own rooms only in hostels. Licence agreement. Assured shorthold tenancy in flats.


Hostels: 9am-11pm. Can stay overnight with staff permission in exceptional circumstances.
