Who is the project for?
Who do we help?
Young single homeless people from the African-Caribbean community aged 18-25 with low support needs. May accept over 25s depending on vacancies. May accept African refugees. Must have a connection to LB Greenwich (at least 6 months). Target 50% women.
Who we cannot help
Those unable to live independently. Those with a serious history of violence or arson, those with drug problems.

How to get a referral
Accept self referrals and referrals from agencies. African refugees can only be referred by LB Greenwich. Can accept referrals direct from prison.
Contact in writing or by phone Mon-Fri 9am-5pm to check if waiting list is open. Application form. Interview. Must be able to demonstrate connection to Greenwich. Offer advice on other options to unsuccessful applicants.
Length of stay
- Minimum stay: 1 year
- Maximum stay: 2 years
Support and accommodation
3 staff and 1-2 volunteers based at off-site office Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, responsible lead tenant in each property, emergency on-call system. Staff visit regularly and can offer advice on various issues. Individual support plan and keywork system. Work with other local groups to provide additional services.

£4pw required from residents in receipt of benefits.

Rules and policies
House rules and tenure
Compulsory residents' meetings. No alcohol allowed in communal areas. No smoking allowed. Assured shorthold tenancy.
Can stay overnight providing they do not disturb other residents or stay more than 48 hours.
