Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Young single homeless people aged 16-21 including people form leaving care or with mild-medium mental health problems or learning difficulties, criminal justice and those with drug or alcohol problems. Local connection required.

Who we cannot help

Those with sexual or arson offences.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Referrals sent to SPOC at the above email address. Once received an interview at the scheme will arranged. Young people must have proof of NINO and Birth Certificate to support benefit claims can be made successful.

Referral procedure

Weekly meeting with Riverside and YPSS to discuss waiting list, joint decisions to allocations.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 1 week
  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support and accommodation

Support offered

Up to 6 staff on-site 7.30am-10pm, 24 hour waking cover. Weekly step sessions. Bespoke Step by Step programme to support developing independent livings skills such as , benefit claims, budget planning, food hygiene, laundry, interview skills, Positive relationships, sexual health and substance misuse etc. Support in accessing Education , training or the employment market. CV creation. Emotional and practical support 24/7.

£13.37 pw required from residents in receipt of benefits.

Rules and policies

House rules and tenure

Zero tolerance to drugs/alcohol on scheme premises. No smoking in rooms or within scheme. Licence agreement. Step by Step programme is a service expectation.

Visitors

No overnight guests. Due to safeguarding restrictions prearranged family visits only in the scheme.
