Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Single homeless women with mental health issues requiring medium to high support. Priority given to referrals made by identified Westminster mental health agencies and building-based services.

Who we cannot help

Women with a history of violence or arson. Women with unaddressed alcohol or drug dependency issues.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Named agency referrals for mental health beds, including Westminster CMHTs, Westminster HOS, Westminster BBS, JHT, The Passage and Crisis Resolution Team and bed manager at the Gordon Hospital. Accept self or agency referrals for 5 emergency beds.

Referral procedure

Referrals for mental health beds must come via named agencies who are notified of vacancies. Accept self or agency referrals for 5 emergency beds by phone after 5pm. Interview. Agencies fill in referral form and risk assessment. Prefer proof of ID.

Support and accommodation

Support offered

15 support staff, 24 hour waking cover. Keyworkers help residents settle in and provide advice on benefits and local resources. Keywork sessions identify support needs and how to address them. Support plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed quarterly. Staff refer residents to specialist services where appropriate. Residents in Registered Care Home wing have intensive keywork support on a weekly basis.

£9.40pw required from residents in receipt of benefits.

House rules and tenure

No alcohol allowed on the premises. Smoking allowed in own room and garden. Licence agreement.


Male visitors in reception area only. All visitors should leave by 10.30pm. No overnight guests.
