Who is the project for?
Who do we help?
Households who are accepted as priority homeless and have been successfully referred to the Homeless Person Unit by a member of Richmondshire District Council's Housing Team.
Who we cannot help
Arsonists, sex offenders and those with a history of violence.

How to get a referral
Only accept referrals from Richmondshire DC Housing Team who make a case on behalf of the applicants. Do not accept self referrals or referrals from any other agency.
Application form. Interview. Require proof of ID and additional supporting information to assess whether household is priority homeless.
Length of stay
- Minimum stay: 1 month
- Maximum stay: 2 years
Support and accommodation
Daily visiting support from staff based off-site, emergency on-call system. Nature and intensity of support is assessed by homeless warden. Includes help with life skills, budgeting, benefits and parenting skills. Link in with specialist support agencies where appropriate, eg Sure Start, and drug and alcohol agencies.

£14pw required from residents in receipt of benefits.

Rules and policies
House rules and tenure
Written house rules. No alcohol allowed in communal areas. No smoking on or within sight of the premises. Licence agreement.
Between 7am-11pm. No overnight guests.
