Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Young single homeless people aged 16-25 in housing need. No local connection required. Applicants must be "committed to personal development" and willing to engage in employment, education or training.

Who we cannot help

No automatic exclusions. Applications considered on a case by case basis.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Many come from Housing Options, local colleges, Connexions, Social Services, Probation, Youth Offending team, etc.

Referral procedure

Write, phone or call in preferably Mon-Fri 8am-8pm for an application form. You will be required to complete 2 interviews including training needs assessment. Ravenhead Foyer requires you to provide 2 forms of ID (one needs to include a photo if possible), proof of income (Active benefit claim, college bursary or wages) and 2 references (cannot be from friends or family). Care plans requested in applicable cases.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 3 months
  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support and accommodation

Support offered

11 full time, 2 part time staff, 24 hour waking cover. Compulsory keywork system (11 residents per keyworker) with fortnightly meetings. Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed monthly. Support offered with basic skills and life skills, health, preparation for work and personal development. Level of support can be adjusted to meet residents' specific needs.

£4.46-£6.08pw required from residents receiving benefits.

House rules and tenure

Compulsory keywork system. No alcohol or smoking allowed in communal areas. Licence agreement.

Visitors

Between 4pm-midnight Sun-Thurs, 4pm-2am Fri-Sat. Maximum 3 overnight guests per resident per week.
