Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Young single homeless people aged 16-25 with support needs. Young single mothers aged 16-25 with a child up to 2 years old. Must have a local connection. Applicants must be willing to engage with the support on offer.

Who we cannot help

Arsonists, people with a history of bullying/violence, people with substance abuse problems, people with support needs which cannot be met by the project. No pets allowed

Referral agencies

Still linked to Salford Pathway. Will accept referrals from professionals and self-referrals for both single applicants and teenage mothers.

Referral procedure

Can call the Foyer directly on 0161 7377778. Require proof of ID and background information.

  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support and accommodation

Support offered

6 full time, 2 part time staff. Weekly contact meetings. Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed monthly. Offer support around independent living skills including budgeting and cooking, accessing employment and training and linking in and liaison with statutory and voluntary welfare agencies.

House rules and tenure

Must engage with support service. No alcohol or smoking in communal areas. Licence agreement.

Visitors

Mon-Fri 4pm-11.30pm, weekends 9am-11.30pm. Overnight guests with staff permission.

Salford Crescent Train Station – 20 minutes Langworthy Road Tram Stop – 15 mins Bus stand 5 minutes away at Salford Precinct for routes to Manchester and Salford.
