Young single homeless people aged 16-24. Must have a local connection to Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn or Ribble Valley.

How to get a referral
Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency.
Phone office Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, out of hours 07739454978 or call in after 5pm at the nightshelter (address above). Complete registration form and housing benefit form on arrival.

Support and accommodation
2 volunteers on shift overnight. Daytime support at the Platform 5 day centre, providing advice and information on benefits, educational activities and workshops, help with finding accommodation and counselling.

Rules and policies
Good local train network between Blackburn and Darwen . The Shelter is situated next to the Railway station in Blackburn

All volunteers provide a range of different support and activities and take part in Team meetings and can access all training packages.
