Who do we help?
Young single homeless people aged 16-24. Must have a local connection to Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn or Ribble Valley.
Who we cannot help
No automatic exclusions.

How to get a referral
Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency.
Phone office Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, out of hours 01254 672139 or call in after 5pm at the nightshelter (address above). Complete registration form and housing benefit form on arrival.
Length of stay
- Minimum stay: 1 night
- Maximum stay: 9 nights
Support and accommodation
2 volunteers on shift overnight. Daytime support at the Platform 5 day centre, providing advice and information on benefits, educational activities and workshops, help with finding accommodation and counselling.

There is no weekly personal charge.

House rules and tenure
No alcohol allowed on the premises. Smoking allowed outside only. Written house rules.
Town centre location. Train and bus stations - 2 minutes walk.
Currently have 10 volunteers at day centre and project. Looking for volunteers to help with fundraising, bag packing, other practical help. Phone 01254 503067 for further information.
