Who is the project for?
Who do we help?
Young single homeless people aged 16-24. Priority given to people with a local connection to New Forest District Council (ie living in the area for 6 months).
Who we cannot help
Arsonists, sex offenders, those with a history of violence or any other serious offences.
- Minimum age accepted: 16
- Maximum age accepted: 24
How to get a referral
Accept referrals from local recognised referral agencies.
Phone Mon-Fri before 4.30pm. Referral form filled in by referral agency with young person present at interview. Signed and completed form sent to New Forest Nightstop. Require proof of ID, referee name and background information.
Length of stay
- Minimum stay: 1 night
- Maximum stay: 5 nights
Support and accommodation
Support volunteers provide informal practical help with benefits, housing advice and finding accommodation.
Rooms and charges
There is no charge for the accommodation.

House rules and tenure
No alcohol allowed. House rules decided by individual host.
Transport may be provided by volunteer drivers.
