Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Young single homeless people aged 16-25 who have been referred by Nottingham City Council Gateway. Must have local connection to Nottingham City. Accommodation available in 24 hour CORE support shared hostels and semi-independent flats across the city.

Who we cannot help

No automatic exclusions.

Referral procedure

All referrals are received from Nottingham City Council Gateway. Referrals are then interviewed to assess suitability by the Nacro team for upcoming bed-spaces.

Support and accommodation

Support offered

5 full time day Support Workers and 1 Team Manager, available Mon-Fri 8am-9pm, Sat-Sun 9am-5pm. At the 24 hour CORE support hostels Night Support Staff are on duty 9pm ? 8am. Day Support Workers provide support sessions weekly and as often as required, typical caseload is 10 service users per Support Worker. Residents expected to agree and accept support provided. Referral to specialist services when necessary and extensive multi-agency working to support the service users.

The charges vary depending on whether service users have to pay for their gad and electric on a pre-payment meter. Personal charges range from £7.01.

House rules and tenure

Residents are expected to attend meetings and accept support. Smoking allowed in own rooms and garden. Licence agreement.
