Single homeless men aged 25 and over. No local connection required.

Who we cannot help

Arsonists. Men already excluded from other Midland Heart projects.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and agency referrals via Birmingham Gateway.Accept referrals from prisons.

Referral procedure

The Gateway is open between Monday ? Friday 8.45am ? 5.15pm to undertake assessments call: 0121 675 4249.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 1 night
  • Maximum stay: 4 months

Support and accommodation

Support offered

6 full time and 3 part time staff, 24 hour waking cover. Keywork system with weekly meetings. Compulsory support plan drawn up after needs assessment with support worker which covers benefits, budgeting and referrals to external training and educational agencies. All residents given a Leisure Card for access to leisure and sports facilities in Birmingham.

Must engage with support offered. Alcohol and smoking allowed in own room only. Licence agreement.
