Who do we help?
People who have applied as homeless to Welwyn & Hatfield Borough Council. Must have support needs and a local connection. Can accept couples and people (single parents or couples) with children.
Who we cannot help
Applicants with a history of sex offences, those who have committed arson within the past 10 years. Applicants who have committed violent, aggressive or racist offences within the past year.

How to get a referral
Only accept referrals from Welwyn & Hatfield Borough Council Temporary Accommodation Team. Do not accept self referrals or referrals from any other agency.
Referral form completed by Welwyn & Hatfield Borough Council prior to interview. Require proof of identity. Require relevant background information to assess support needs and risk.

Support and accommodation
4 full time and 1 part time staff, available Mon ? Fri 8am ? 9pm emergency on-call system. Keyworker system with weekly meetings. Action plans with agreed outcomes. Provide general advice and support and signposting to specialist agencies.

Residents pay own water bills and the gas/electricity are on card/key meters.

House rules and tenure
Alcohol and smoking allowed in own flat only. Contractual agreement.
Usually until 11pm. Overnight guests with staff permission.
Buses outside the building. Train station 20 minutes walk.
