Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Male ex-offenders aged over 18 who are in housing need and under statutory supervision of the London Probation Board. Priority to those with a local connection to LB Islington.

Who we cannot help

Men with unmanageable addictive behaviour. Men who may be a danger to staff or other residents.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Only accept referrals from Islington Council Supporting People Team.

Referral procedure

Phone Mon-Fri 9am-5pm for application form. Require MG16, most recent risk assessment and details of any psychiatric involvement.

  • Maximum stay: 1 year

Support and accommodation

Support offered

7 staff, 24 hour sleep-in cover. Compulsory linkworker system with meetings fortnightly at first. Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed monthly. 3-way meetings with Probation Board encouraged. Staff provide help with welfare benefits and support with achieving independent living skills, gaining access to training, participating in the community and taking responsibility for their lives.

House rules and tenure

Must attend keywork sessions. No alcohol or gambling allowed. Smoking allowed in own room. Licence agreement.


Must leave by 11pm. No overnight guests. No children aged under 18 allowed in the hostel.
