Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Single homeless people with low support needs. No local connection required. Must be willing to volunteer for forty hours a week in our retail businesses, café, vans, and donation sorting areas. We can accept someone on a very low methadone script, and those engaged with drug and alcohol services.

Who we cannot help

Schedule 1 offenders, arsonists, people with a history of violence are not usually accepted. Nobody who is heavily drinking or taking illegal substances. No state benefits allowed during their stay, a voluntary allowance is paid weekly.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency.

Referral procedure

Phone Tues-Sat 9.30am-4.30pm. Application form completed by applicant and agency prior to interview. Require proof of ID, but can help applicants with this.

Support and accommodation

Support offered

Low support needs, two full time support workers, regular support sessions. Support plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed monthly. Provide general advice and support around life skills, and budgeting. Can help to provide courses both vocational and non vocational, support with move on when ready.

There is no charge made to residents for their stay.

Rules and policies

House rules and tenure

No alcohol or drugs allowed on site, no violence, or aggression shown to any member of the Community. Smoking allowed in your own room, and designated outside area only. Must be willing to volunteer for 40 hours a week, and relinquish any state benefits.


Outside working hours. Can have overnight guests.
