Who do we help?
Young single homeless people with support needs aged 18-30. Priority given to applicants with a local connection.
Who we cannot help
People with high support needs.

How to get a referral
Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Referrals are only accepted from the local council for the crashpad only from East Herts council, communal facilities for children looked after, referrals will only be accepted from Herts County Council
Phone, download or call in for an application form, which must be completed prior to interview. Require 2 references, proof of identity and proof of NI number.
Length of stay
- Minimum stay: 6 months
- Maximum stay: 18 months
Support and accommodation
24 hour support available 7 days a week. Staff provide support via client-centred support planning.
Rooms and charges
£9.18pw required from residents in receipt of benefits. Flats require £215 deposit, of which £187.46 is refundable.

Rules and policies
House rules and tenure
Smoking allowed in own flat/room only. Assured shorthold tenancy in self contained flats. Licence agreement in shared flat.
Until 12 midnight. Single overnight guests with prior permission can stay maximum 3 nights per week.
Bishop's Stortford train station - 10 minutes walk.
Volunteer opportunities on board of trustees, admin, supporting activities, updating website. See www.easthertsymca.com for further information.
