Who is the project for?
Who do we help?
Young people aged 16 and 17 who are in housing crisis and have complex needs. Must have a 1 year local connection to LB Brent.
Who we cannot help
- Minimum age accepted: 16
- Maximum age accepted: 17
How to get a referral
Only accept referrals from LB Brent START Plus.
Application form completed by referring agency and applicant. Interview. Must have proof of ID, eg birth certificate, passport, and proof of benefits. Also require risk assessment.
Length of stay
- Minimum stay: 6 weeks
- Maximum stay: 8 weeks
Support and accommodation
1 full time member of staff and 1 volunteer based on-site, 24 hour waking cover (by staff supporting residents in the main hostel, which houses the Crashpad). Compulsory keywork system with at least weekly meetings. Support plans with agreed outcomes reviewed monthly. Staff provide support around independent living skills, resettlement, family mediation and employment and training.

£10.80pw required from residents in receipt of benefits.

Rules and policies
House rules and tenure
No alcohol or smoking allowed on premises. Compulsory keywork meetings, residents' meetings and support plans. Licence agreement.
Between 8am-11pm. No overnight guests.
