Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Single homeless people. Majority of clients are ex-offenders, and people with alcohol, drug and mild mental health problems. Local connection required.

Who we cannot help

Arsonists.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency, including prison and probation services.

Referral procedure

Phone or call in Mon-Fri 8.30am-6pm, or email. Application form completed by referrer and/or prospective resident with help of staff if required. If appropriate, this is followed by needs and risk assessment at face to face interview.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 1 month
  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support and accommodation

Support offered

Staff available Mon-Fri 8.30am-6pm, emergency on-call system at other times. Support plans and keyworker system with weekly meetings, ad hoc meetings between times as needed. Provide support around independent living, budgeting, benefits, developing relationships with neighbours and other people, and accessing specialist support services. Life skills training and other activities run on and off site.

Rules and policies

House rules and tenure

Smoking only allowed in own rooms or outside. No restrictions on alcohol so long as it does not lead to antisocial behaviour. Drug tolerance policy. All residents required to engage with support, including weekly keywork session. Licence agreement.

Visitors

Can have overnight guests with staff permission.
