Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Single people with support needs who are homeless or in housing need, including ex-offenders and people with substance misuse or mental health problems. Can accept applicants with well-behaved dogs.

Who we cannot help

No automatic exclusions.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Most referrals come from other voluntary agencies.

Referral procedure

To make a referral you can telephone, drop in to our centre Monday-Friday 9am-5pm or email us. An application form must be completed by referral agency or the individual before interview. Risk assessment are always completed and we may require additional information to help us make our assessment. Referrals to supported houses via Initial Contact Team only.

  • Minimum stay: 1 night
  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support and accommodation

Support offered

A mix of full time and part time staff and volunteers are employed on a rota basis across all accommodation and day centre. 24 hour waking cover is provided in crisis unit and visiting support with emergency on-call system in supported houses. Compulsory keywork system for residents in supported houses (5-8 residents per key worker) along with weekly meetings. Action plans with agreed outcomes are set and reviewed regularly. Staff give general support and advice to residents, from getting and keeping a Tenancy, managing a budget, eating well for less.

  • Disabled facilities: Adapted showers in crisis centre. Some rooms are on the ground floor. Day centre has full wheelchair access.

Rules and policies

House rules and tenure

No alcohol allowed. Smoking only allowed in outside area near emergency unit. Compulsory keywork and residents' meetings in houses. Licence agreement.


Not allowed in crisis unit. Until 11pm in supported houses. No overnight guests.
