Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Single people with low to medium support needs who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Accept referrals aged 16-22 from Enfield, and aged 16-22 from Haringey. Must have a local connection to Enfield or Haringey (at least 6 months).

Who we cannot help

Those with ongoing alcohol or drug dependency.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept referrals from named agencies, including Enfield Housing Advice Centre, Social Services, Enfield's Two-e Young People's Service, and Haringey's Vulnerable Adult Team. Also accept self referrals from those with an Enfield connection.

Referral procedure

Interview and assessment. If successful and there are no immediate vacancies, placed on waiting list.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 6 months
  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support and accommodation

Support offered

5 full time staff available at off-site office Mon-Fri 8am-6pm. Staff visit properties weekly. key worker system with regular meetings. Support plans based on independent living skills and resettlement. Staff help with benefits, finding appropriate local support and training services. Offer basic counselling. Residents can access workshops run by other Christian Action Young People Services.

£11/78/£13.37/£14.75pw (depends on size of room)required from residents in receipt of benefits.

House rules and tenure

No alcohol allowed on premises. May smoke in own rooms but not when staff are present. Must attend house meetings. Assured shorthold tenancy.


Some restrictions. Can stay overnight for up to 2 nights per week.
