Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Single homeless women with medium-high support needs, including ex-offenders and women with alcohol and/or drug issues. Priority given to those with a local connection to Newcastle upon Tyne.

Who we cannot help

Arsonists, fire-setters, sex offenders.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 6 months
  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support and accommodation

Support offered

2 full time staff on-site Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, Sat & Sun 10am-4pm. Night worker provides waking cover 7pm-6am daily. Emergency on-call system. Compulsory keywork system (6 residents per worker), meetings at least weekly. Support plans and Outcomes Star agreed with key worker and external agencies, reviewed every 3 months. Support around budgeting, forms, living skills, employment and training.

House rules and tenure

Must participate in programme of support. Smoking allowed in own rooms only. Written house rules. Occupancy agreement.

Visitors

Until 11pm. Women over 18 only. No male visitors. No overnight guests.
