Who do we help?

16-25 yrs homeless young people or care leavers in need of support. A local connection to Wandsworth borough is needed.

Who we cannot help

People with dogs. Couples. People with history of arson offences, serious sexual offences, or serious violence offences

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

All referrals must come through Wandsworth social services, housing options teams or the local health authority.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 3 months

Support and accommodation

Support offered

Service is staffed 9am to 8pm Tuesday to Friday and 9-5pm on Mondays and Saturdays – there are staff on site overnight, or on bank holidays but Centrepoint has a 24 hour on call service to give young people support out of hours. The service has 2 x full time support workers and a manager.

  • Other facilities: Service has no communal lounge area but has a garden, with large outhouse/ meeting room in the garden for confidential meetings and group work. A young people can have access to a computer.

Visitors

Residents are expected to be able to manage their own visitors with no more than three visitors at any one time, and no more than one overnight guest three nights a week. Staff can apply guest bans to residents and permanently exclude guests that don’t respect the rules of the project.
