Who is the project for?
Who do we help?
Young single homeless people aged 16-24 with low to medium support needs. Prefer applicants with a local connection.
Who we cannot help
No automatic exclusions.

How to get a referral
Referral agencies
Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency.
Referral procedure
The most common way to refer is via the Inform website (administered by the city council). If it is a self-referral, or the referring agency does not have access to Inform, they can contact Railway House for an application form. Suitable applicants will be invited for interview, and may bring the referrer/support worker or friend with them.
Length of stay
- Minimum stay: 6 months
- Maximum stay: 2 years
Support and accommodation
Support offered
Staff based on-site provide advice and support with any barriers to making a successful transition to independent living and each resident has their own key worker. Staff are on duty between 7am and 10pm on weekdays, and between 6pm and 10pm on weekends and bank holidays. Staff do sleep-in shifts between 10pm and 7am and are available to support residents if needed. Our of hours advice and support is also available by telephone.

House rules and tenure
Residents must engage with supported offered. No alcohol or drugs allowed on the premises. Smoking only allowed outside. Licence agreement.
Visitors
Visitors allowed. Can have 1 overnight guest up to 3 nights per week.
