Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Single homeless women. Local connection required. Applications from women who would pose a serious risk to the safety and welfare of other tenants and staff will be refused. Women on release from a custodial environment, or subject to a Court Order, will be considered, subject to risk and needs assessment. Applicants who have a recent history of significant substance misuse (Class A drugs/alcoholism) must be participating in a programme of rehabilitation

Who we cannot help

The project is not intended for women with serious offending or criminal behaviour, or severe learning disability or mental health needs, unless our risk assessment deems them suitable.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency.

Referral procedure

Application form, visit to project, allocation panel.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 3-6 months
  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support offered

Available Mon-Fri: 9am - 5.00pm Corona Community: Regular drop in activities, trips and arts and crafts, open to female Cambridge residents: via referral

£8.85pw week service charge required form residents in receipt of Benefits.

Facilities

  • Furnishings: Flats fully furnished.

  • Disabled facilities: Can accommodate one wheelchair user. Loop system in building.
  • Other facilities: Kitchen-lounge, garden. Resources room – which is a flexible space – for art activities, meetings an extra lounge residents 1-1 room.

Rules and policies

House rules and tenure

Required to engage with keywork scheme and attend house meetings. Assured shorthold tenancy agreement. Alcohol is permitted ONLY in flats and people should not be intoxicated.

Visitors

In residents' rooms. Overnight guests 2 nights a week.
