Single homeless people. Must have a local connection to Cambridge City. Can accept one resident with a dog.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Accept referrals via Street Outreach Team and other local agencies such as Social Services and Probation. Do not accept self referrals. There is a very clear accommodation pathway within Cambridge and first port of call for any referrals is through Cambridge City Council.

Referral procedure

Local connection policy is in operation within the City, as well as an agreed pathways for housing routes, initial priority given to those clients housed within Jimmy?s an exception request must be submitted to the City for applicants wishing to apply for housing outside of the agreed pathway. Referrals only accepted via Inform.

Support and accommodation

Support offered

1 full time staff and 4 full time volunteers manage 2 hostels. Volunteers provide some support in the mornings and early evenings as well as sleep-in cover and staff are available for emergency on-call outside office hours. Monday-Friday staff provide basic support, including help with completing forms and cooking and will refer to external drug, alcohol and mental health services if needed. Staff meets with residents regularly and they must agree to meet up with our Meaningful Activity Coordinator to look at training and volunteering.

Rent £38.30. Rents are reviewed each April.

No alcohol allowed on the premises. Smoking allowed in garden only. Licence agreement.
