Who is the project for?

Who do we help?

Single homeless men and women aged 18, many of whom have drug, alcohol or mental health problems and/or are ex-offenders. Local connection is required.

Who we cannot help

No automatic exclusions. Applications considered on a case by case basis.

How to get a referral

Referral agencies

Self-referrals and agency referrals must come through Main Stay.

Referral procedure

Must attend Main Stay appointment call 0151 600 3530.

Length of stay

  • Minimum stay: 1 week
  • Maximum stay: 2 years

Support and accommodation

Support offered

7 staff, sleep-in cover. Residents are encouraged to participate in the in-house training programme and staff are available for individual help and support as required. Those residents with chaotic drug use problems are expected to participate in stabilisation programmes.

£18.94pw required from residents in receipt of benefits.

House rules and tenure

No alcohol allowed on premises. Smoking only allowed in own rooms and garden. Licence agreement.


Between 9am-9pm Sat-Sun and 5pm-10pm Mon-Fri in communal areas. No overnight guests.
