Online I 10:30 - 12:30 I Free

As we move slowly towards through the pandemic, this is an opportunity to come together, hear about service changes and collaboratively identify the best way forward.

Homeless Link would like to invite you to the next Brighton & Hove Community of Practice for Team Leaders, Coordinators, and Front Line Managers in Homelessness Services across the city.

Please register HERE

Communities of Practice are designed to bring together people working in homelessness and related fields within local areas. The aim is to create a safe and informal space in which attendees can share knowledge and good practice, discuss local issues and explore how best to collaboratively overcome them.

For this Community of Practice we will have Sascha Deighton the Deputy Service Manager for Brighton and Hove CGL Recovery Service speaking about current service provision.  In 2021, in the early days of the Covid 19 pandemic, CGL took over the contract to provide the cities primary substance misuse and alcohol support services.

They have also just been awarded the rough sleeping outreach service contract and will take on this provision from the 1st of April 2021.

This will be an opportunity to learn about both services, ask questions and build stronger partnerships with this key provider.

We will also take time to explore as a group the wider context of drug and alcohol use amongst the people we support, share good practice, ideas, resources and strategies for supporting our teams with this work.

We will also be having a brief presentation from Pivot who are keen to engage with new projects across the country. This is an innovative social enterprise that is already having a great impact.

We facilitate events using a Solution Focused Practice approach so that problems are acknowledged but not dwelt on; instead, we look at building on existing resources and skills to work towards a shared, preferred future – as well as expanding knowledge where required.

As this is an online event, the format will vary however, we will endeavour to leave you feeling positive, hopeful and better connected to the bigger picture.
