AVA (Against Violence and Abuse)

AVA is one of twenty nine charities from across England, working with women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, that has been awarded a grant from Homeless Link’s Ending Women’s Homelessness grants programme, funded by the Government’s Tampon Tax Fund.

The project will build the capacity of the statutory and voluntary sectors in Haringey to provide enhanced specialist support to women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with experience of domestic or sexual abuse.

Donna Covey, Chief Executive of AVA, said: "This grant will enable us to improve support to women across Haringey with experience of homelessness and domestic and sexual abuse. In particular it will help us to develop and encourage trauma and gender informed approaches across the borough, helping more women to rebuild their lives in safety."
