Two-day course for experienced workers, managers and those responsible for developing services.

This course will examine key issues in structuring resettlement processes from referral to the end of our interventions. It will identify components of good practice in assessment, developing working contracts, recording information, supporting workers, caseload management and risk assessment. It is suitable for all workers with responsibility for developing resettlement services and intended as a starting point for the issues.

aims & objectives

This course will examine the resettlement process from referral to re-housing and follow-up support. It will identify the components of good practice, enable you to develop your resettlement strategy and provide a framework for developing more specific skills.

the course will

  • develop a working definition of resettlement.
  • look at all stages of the referral process.
  • identify the importance of appropriate and considered assessments.
  • look at methods of monitoring and evaluating resettlement work.
  • consider all of these issues in the light of best practice and equal opportunities.
  • enable you to develop a resettlement action plan relevant to your own
