How to use the Outcomes Star training

1 day course for keyworkers who are using the Outcomes Star aiming to enable participants to fully understand the system and implement it effectively in their work.

AIMS

To enable keyworkers and managers to fully understand the Star system and be able to implement it effectively in their work.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Keyworkers who are using the Star directly with service users, and Managers who are implementing the Star within a project or across an organisation. If you are unsure if the Homeless Star is for you please visit the Outcomes Website for a guide to the different Outcomes Stars.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course participants should be able to:

  • understand and identify service user change
  • complete a Star Chart and ‘Journey of Change’
  • understand how the Star can be used in keywork
  • learn from Star data for a whole project
  • implement the Star in your organisation and work.

COURSE FEATURES

This course addresses:

  • an overview of the Star system and how it can help your work
  • understanding and identifying ‘outcomes’ for service users and organisations
  • understanding the main features of the Star and the ‘Journey of Change’
  • developing the skills to introduce the Star in a particular area of work
  • understanding and making use of the Star’s data gathering process.
