New Local Area Agreements
The new Local Area Agreements (LAAs) were signed off by ministers and published on June 30th 2008. This page provides links to all LAAs and some overall national analysis of the homelessness related indicators that have been included. We are pleased to see that 64% of Local Area Agreements have included the Supporting People National Indicators 141 or 142, and that around half have included indicators that relate to socially excluded adults in settled accommodation and employment, education or training (PSA 16).

National Overview
Supporting People Indicators
- Overall Local Area Agreements with either NI 141 or NI 142 = 96 authorities (64%)
- National Indicator 141 "Number of vulnerable people achieving independent living" = 70 authorities (47%)
- National Indicator 142 "Number of vulnerable people who are supported to maintain independent living" = 36 authorities (24%)
Individuals living in settled and suitable accommodation:
- National Indicator 143 "Offenders under probation supervision living in settled and suitable accommodation" = 2 authorities (1%)
- National Indicator 145 "Adults with learning disabilities in settled accommodation" = 10 authorities (7%)
- National Indicator 147 "Care leavers suitable accommodation" = 9 authorities (6%)
- National Indicator 149 "Adults in contact with secondary mental health services in settled accommodation" = 1 authority (0.7%)
Individuals in employment employment, education or training:
- National Indicator 144 "Offenders under probation supervision in employment" = 10 authorities (7%)
- National Indicator 146 "Adults with learning disabilities in employment" = 29 authorities (19%)
- National Indicator 148 "Care leavers in education, employment or training" = 8 authorities (5%)
